Product
Atains is a mobile and web inventory management product built for small and medium businesses across industries. It gives owners a real-time view of what's in stock, what's selling and what to reorder, and keeps their sales records organised.
The problem
Most SMEs manage inventory by hand. It's slow, takes hours and goes wrong easily, and there wasn't a simple, complete tool built for them.
- Overstocking ties up cash in stock that doesn't move.
- Stockouts mean lost sales and frustrated customers.
- Poor records make it hard to know what's actually working.
What we built
My role
I was Product Manager at Atains, a studio building web products and business tools for small businesses.
- Built a smart inventory management app for small businesses, starting from user research with SMEs on their pain points and day-to-day workflow.
- Gathered user feedback and ran iterative UI improvements that lifted user satisfaction by 80% in post-launch surveys.
- Tracked daily active users, retention, churn and engagement to keep improving the product after launch.
Results
We launched to a controlled group of about 50–60 businesses. They reported more organised sales records, and real-time data helped them make better decisions on stock, purchasing and resources.
Atains today
Atains is now a product studio that partners with founders and companies to design, build and scale digital products: websites, MVPs, AI tools, micro SaaS and internal dashboards.
Key takeaways
- For small businesses, the best feature is the hour of manual work you take away.
- A controlled launch gives you honest feedback before you scale the mistakes.
- Building our own product taught us how to build for founders, which is what the studio does now.
